The Peer Recovery Coach provides non-clinical services to support clients establishing recovery from alcohol and/or drug use. The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist’s (CPRS) role is to support others in recovery from a substance use disorder. The CPRS will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to recovering individuals to help prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery. The CPRS will demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships.

This part-time contractual position is the full performance level of work, at the licensed Master’s Degree level, counseling clients with substance use disorders by using intervention, treatment and rehabilitation. This position does not supervise other Alcohol and Drug Counselors. This position receives general supervision from an Alcohol and Drug Professional Counselor Supervisor or a program administrator. This position may be required to work evenings and weekends.

Looking for a person that is familiar with ASAM criteria and experience applying it to client placement and treatment planning.
Strong documentation skills and ability to complete notes in an EMR system.
Understanding of substance use treatment, co-occurring disorders, and recovery principles.
Knowledge of COMAR and Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) compliance requirements.
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Addiction Treatment Systems is looking to fill a position for a Full Time Counselor at our Annapolis location, New Journey and at our Brooklyn location, Starting Point. We are a growing outpatient methadone/buprenorphine clinic in Anne Arundel County, MD that has been providing comprehensive care to Anne Arundel County and its surrounding areas since 2012. Addiction Treatment Systems is looking for a full time Addiction Counselor to join our tight knit team.

Better Path is seeking Licensed Counselors (Alcohol & Drug Trainee, Certified Associate Counselor–Alcohol and Drug, or Certified Supervised Counselor) to provide counseling and recovery support to individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
