REACH Health Services of the Institutes for Behavior Resources, Inc. (IBR), seeks a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to join its team. This is a full-time, benefits eligible opportunity to be part of a dedicated team delivering critical health programs and resources to a diverse Baltimore-based clientele in a trauma informed environment.

IBR offfers a student loan repayment program opportunity as an approved facility of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP).

Responsibilities

Job Description
As a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, you will offer personal guidance and mentoring to patients who are engaged in a treatment setting. You will be responsible for identifying and offer various support services to the REACH patient population such as assistance in obtaining housing, access to treatment, and referrals to a variety of other community resources. Additional duties include providing outreach support as a peer to patients in the commnity, hospitals, crisis shelters, and places where people in need of treatment can be found. This position reports to the Clinical Director.

Qualifications

Qualifications
Completed training for Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Spcialist Certification required.
Possess the Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Certification or do so within 6 months of hire as a condition of employment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently with initiative and minimal supervision as well as within a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary team.
Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Excellent organizational skills.
Demonstrated computer proficiency.
Experience navigating local, state and federal resources.
Experience working with diverse patient populations.
Ability to work within and foster a trauma informed enviornment.
