About Us
The Jude House is a leading substance use disorder treatment provider committed to empowering individuals and families toward long-term recovery. We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and organized individual to serve as the Recovery Residence Manager for our all-female Recovery Residence, which also serves women with children.
Position Summary
The Recovery Residence Manager is a full-time, live-in professional responsible for overseeing daily operations of a supportive residential environment for women in early recovery. This role blends leadership, administration, and hands-on support to promote safety, accountability, and a stable recovery culture. Candidates should have experience supporting women and children and be committed to upholding healthy boundaries and promoting recovery-oriented life skills.
Compensation
This is a live-in role with a compensation package that includes housing and a monthly stipend . This role allows the individual to still maintain full time employment outside of the home but without the expense.
Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of the Recovery Residence, including housekeeping coordination, safety inspections, and property upkeep.

Facilitate weekly House Meetings and maintain a structured, respectful living environment.

Provide program orientation, oversee entry and exit processes, and ensure compliance with house rules.

Support residents in developing recovery goals and teach independent living skills.

Coordinate random drug testing and ensure childproofing and household safety standards are maintained.

Serve as an accessible resource while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.

Collaborate with program leadership and participate in regular non-clinical supervision.
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (or willingness to obtain GED).

Minimum of two (2) years of sustained recovery from a substance use disorder.

Commitment to obtain Maryland Peer Supporter Training, CPR/First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, and drug testing training.

Comfortable with shared living arrangements and presence in the home overnight.

Ability to handle minor home maintenance tasks.

Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).

Knowledge of local community and recovery support resources.
Preferred Experience

Prior experience working with women and children in recovery or transitional housing settings.

Ability to manage emergencies and de-escalate crises calmly and professionally.

Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
