Suspending Sexual Judgment—In this 2-day course, participants develop greater understanding of their own responses to sexual issues, examine the process of psycho-sexual development and functioning (with an emphasis on how substance use impacts sexual behavior, physiology and HIV risk), and identify challenges to addressing sexuality in the context of recovery work. Participants will also practice approaches to interactions that will facilitate comfort and communication for both counselor and client. **Please note: The October 8 & 9 training is offered ONLY as part of the larger Sexual Health in Recovery Facilitator Certification course. These dates are not available for registration for those who want to take only this single training. Additional training dates for this module will be available in 2025.**
