Overview
this course is designed to equip family peer support specialists with a comprehensive understanding of harm reduction principles and practices. Participants will learn how to apply harm reduction strategies when supporting loved ones who are navigating substance use, mental health challenges, or co-occurring issues. The training emphasizes the vital role families play in promoting safety, dignity, and recovery while maintaining healthy boundaries and supporting autonomy. This course satisfies the Harm Reduction requirement for Peer Recovery Specialist RECERTIFICATION and MABPCB family endorsement.
