Position Overview

A New Way of Wellness (ANWOW) is a transitional wellness organization serving individuals and families navigating recovery. We are hiring an Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT) for an entry-level counseling role. This position is ideal for candidates who are actively pursuing their substance use counseling credential and are working toward completing their supervised hours. All clinical work is performed under board-approved supervision.

Responsibilities

Deliver individual and group counseling sessions under the direct supervision of an approved supervisor
Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans in coordination with the clinical team
Maintain client records and progress notes in compliance with program and regulatory standards
Participate in required training, supervision hours, and credentialing activities
Engage clients with a trauma-informed, recovery-focused approach
Collaborate with case managers, peer specialists, and support staff

Qualifications

Active ADT registration with the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists or equivalent Maryland credentialing body
Currently enrolled in or working toward substance use counseling certification
Strong commitment to supporting individuals in recovery
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting
