Sante is seeking a PRN (Scheduled As Needed) Peer Recovery Specialist to join our frontline crisis intervention team in Westminster, MD. As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you will perform assessments and crisis intervention, including de-escalation, crisis planning, implementation, and treatment plans with consumers in the community. You will also serve as the on-site resource for clinical information and partner with all involved parties, including but not limited to families, friends, and community providers.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

Effectively communicate clients’ needs while making internal agency or community referrals
Serve as a liaison for collaboration with other involved parties, including families, friends, and community partners such as local police and fire departments
Educate individuals about community resources related to mental health, substance abuse, available community resources, and the agency’s services
Complete documentation in an accurate and thorough manner
Abide by all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to confidentiality and protected health information

Qualifications

What We Require:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (CPRS) or willingness to be certified within a one (1) year of employment (Sante will pay for your certification if you do not have it at the time of hire).
Three (3) years in full recovery AND five (5) years lived experience with mental illness, substance abuse, or a co-occurring disorder.
Valid driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance.
