Star Behavioral Health & Recovery Center is looking for a Part-Time Peer Recovery Specialists to join our clinical team in Baltimore City. As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you will perform initial intake/assessments, groups, helping clients with social services need, and treatment plans with clients in the community. You will also serve as the on-site resource for clinical information and partner with all involved parties, including but not limited to families, friends, and community providers.
Effectively communicate clients’ needs while making internal agency or community referrals.
Serve as a liaison for collaboration with other involved parties, including families, friends, and community partners such as local police and fire departments, Educate individuals about community resources related to mental health, substance abuse, available community resources, and the agency’s services, Complete documentation in an accurate and thorough manner, Abide by all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to confidentiality and protected health information.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (CPRS).
Three (3) years in full recovery AND five (5) years lived experience with mental illness, substance abuse, or a co-occurring disorder.
Valid driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance
