Position Overview

Starting Point is looking to fill a position for a Full Time Counselor at our Opioid Treatment Program in Brooklyn Park, MD. We are a growing outpatient methadone/buprenorphine clinic that has been providing comprehensive care to Brooklyn and its surrounding areas for over 15 years. Starting Point is looking for a full time Addictions Counselor to join our tight knit team.

Monday-Friday 5:15am-1:30pm
Occasional Saturdays 6:45am-11:00am

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

Intakes of new clients completing bio psycho social
Formulates individualized treatment plans with clients
Direct client services including individual, group, and/ or family counseling
Participates in individual/group supervision
Attends treatment team and in-service training meetings
Answers phones/ Computerizes Documentation

Qualifications

The ideal Candidate must hole at minimum a Trainee status or higher with the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors, or hold a license with the Maryland Board of Social Work
