i-Forensic Peer Recovery Specialist Training

Overview

The Integrated-Forensic Peer Recovery Specialist (I-FPRS) Training is a specialized 28-hour educational program designed to prepare peer professionals and recovery support providers to effectively serve justice-involved individuals through a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach.

Participants will explore criminal justice systems, the Sequential Intercept Model, trauma and adverse childhood experiences, recovery capital, wellness, advocacy, ethical decision-making, reentry and reintegration, and harm/risk reduction strategies. The training emphasizes practical skills, professional boundaries, systems navigation, and the unique role of peer support in promoting recovery, resilience, and successful community integration.

This training is ideal for Peer Recovery Specialists, Recovery Coaches, Behavioral Health Professionals, Community Health Workers, Reentry Professionals, and others interested in expanding their knowledge and skills in forensic peer support.
