project: liberation LGBT Recovery/Wellness and Peer Recovery Training
This 8-hour training provides a foundation for understanding the interconnected network of being a person from the LGBTQUIA community and in-recovery. This is a workshop for peers and practitioners that work directly with the LGBTQUIA community. We ask that people come prepared and with an open mind. This training is a safe and brave space for all people. Specifically, the topic of this course is: Recovery/Wellness.
Throughout the training, individuals will learn about:
- Goal-setting and vision casting
- Accountability plans
- the Stages of Change
- Motivational interviewing
- Signs of distress
- Group Facilitation
- Tools of eCPR (Emotional CPR)
- & more!
FOR: Anyone interested in deepening their cultural competencies in the peer recovery network.
