MISHA House, LLC is a Addiction Outpatient Treatment facility in Central West Baltimore who is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, dedicated, reliable and compassionate individuals with Addiction Counseling experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role to support the needs and concerns of individuals who seek to experience a better quality of living with guidance to overcome obstacles associated with addiction recovery.

$30–$42 per hour (based on credentials and experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8-hour shift

We are actively hiring a full-time Substance Abuse Counselor / Drug Counselor to join our established outpatient opioid treatment program (OTP).

This is a W2 position with guaranteed hours — not fee-for-service.

This position will play a key role in the Departments SUD program. These counselors
deliver group therapy akin to an outpatient program over a six-month period utilizing
WestCare Foundation , Inc. Technical Proposal Maryland DPSCS Substance Use Disorder Treatment Services BPM020644 23 the Addiction Treatment Protocol (ATP) developed in-house, based on the Federal cognitive model. However, various intensity of treatments is required in order to be able to address specific needs of the inmates, in addition to the group ATP treatment program. Essential Job Functions are below:

The Peer Support Specialist supports individuals in their recovery through individual and group meetings that provide information, dispel myths, and inspire hope.  The Peer Support Specialist assists with care coordination.

The main purpose of this position is to aid in the delivery of harm reduction services provided by the Behavioral Health Services Division at the Frederick County Health Department, which includes distributing syringes and other drug use equipment, collecting syringes using safe disposal containers, linking individuals to treatment and distributing safe sex supplies along with safe sex education and rapid HIV and Hepatitis C testing.

1. Completes comprehensive assessment/intake within program guidelines, and formulates diagnostic impression, by conducting patient and/or collateral interviews, reviewing substance abuse and treatment history, and conferring with staff and referral sources.

Villa Maria Behavioral Health Clinics provide mental and behavioral health services to children, adults, and families across Maryland. These services include individual counseling, family counseling, psychiatric evaluation, social and coping skill development, addiction counseling and treatment, and medication management.

The Peer Recovery Coach provides non-clinical services to support clients establishing recovery from alcohol and/or drug use. The Peer Recovery Coach works in conjunction with the clinical team to provide peer support and inspiration to encourage clients throughout their recovery journey in a manner that is respectful, therapeutic, and free from abuse, neglect, and exploitation

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) programs provide comprehensive, mobile treatment services for adults with a persistent mental health illness. The program is for individuals who have not found success in traditional outpatient settings and who require individualized treatment services when and where it’s needed. This is a unique direct care opportunity to promote client recovery by sharing lived experience, and providing coaching, support, and advocacy. This position will have independence and flexibility to schedule appointments and complete required documentation.
