Domestic Violence and Suicide Prevention
Overview
This is a standardized and localized Domestic Violence and Suicide Prevention Curriculum. Students will be provided education on domestic violence, the link between domestic violence and suicide, suicide prevention and empowerment.
COURSE OBJECTIVES: During or by the end of this course, the student will be able to
- Define domestic violence and its risk factors
- Identify the types of domestic violence
- Connect Domestic Violence to increasing Suicide cases
- Determine the warning signs of domestic abuse
- Define suicide and summarize facts about suicide
- Risk and Protective Factors of suicide
- Enumerate strategies and approaches how to prevent suicide
- Determine the ways to work together to Prevent Suicide
- Identify various empowerment for victims/survivors
- Demonstrate the practice of self-care
