Join us for an engaging and transformative two-part virtual series designed specifically for young adult peers and advocates, ages 18 to 29. This series aims to explore the complex and often ambivalent feelings surrounding leadership, helping participants to explore and embrace their unique strengths. Our goal is to empower young adults to advocate for change confidently and safely within their communities and other spaces they inhabit. Through interactive discussions and collaborative activities, participants will also brainstorm effective strategies to build and rely on a supportive community of practice.

Part I: Processing Our Relationship to Power & Leadership as Values-Embodied Sweeties (90 minutes)

Part II: Exploring Values-Embodied & Expansive Manifestations of Our Power to Advocate for Change (90 minutes)

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand and articulate personal feelings about leadership, including any ambivalence or resistance.
  • Discover and assess individualized strengths and how they can be leveraged in leadership roles.
  • Develop skills for advocating change in a brave and safe manner within different spaces, including personal, professional, and communal.
  • Engage in brainstorming sessions to identify concrete ways to support one another as a community of practice.
